The Sweet Buffalo Hat #2 is a new version of the Sweet Buffalo Hat that I designed last winter. The new design has a completely different brim.
So the brim is worked in Corrugated Rib using two stands/balls of yarn of the same color - in the normal corrugated rib you are used to seeing it done in two colors. The technique is the same. It is worked in the round from the bottom up and it is seamless. The corrugated rib is doubled - after knitting the rib it is folded onto itself to be doubly warm and hug the head with soft closeness keeping cold air and wind away from your forehead and ears. The doubled brim is closed and attached to itself with a process similar to 3-needle bind off. No sewing or stitching with needle necessary! In the pdf pattern there is a written verbal description of the method and links to two videos that show you how to do it.

Well suited for an intermediate knitter. Required skills: 2 Color Fair Isle in the round and 5 DPNs for the crown. Corrugated Rib. 3-ndl bind-off.

The yarn used for the knitted model is Kelbourne Woolens, Andorra. It is 60% Merino Wool, 20% Highland Wool, 20% Mohair.
